Hi, My name is Xiaochen Zhang (张小辰), Xiaochen in Chinese means 'little dragon', or call me Susan as most Aussies do.
My PhD research focuses on Educational Technology and its transformation from offline classrooms to online platforms.
Currently, I'm the Head of Creative and EdTech for the UK government, Department of Business and Trade. I led the UK Trade Mission to AU and supporting UK businesses in utilizing the Digital Free Trade Agreement to scale into ANZ.
Previously, I was a proud Canvanaut heading up the product localisation teams to build the globally loved brand launched Canva into 107+ languages/
Before that, I was the Senior Country Development Manager at Amazon AU. I built and managed 5 global selling 'arcs' (North America, China, Europe (&UK), India and Korea) to Australia and grew the total international business by expanding into exciting new regions.
In 2018, I joined the most valuable startup in the world - ByteDance (TikTok) as the Director of Global Public Policy to push TikTok Going Global.
